Homework assignment

Alright ladies (and gents), I need your help and I have a small assignment for you.  After all, it’s fall-‘tis the season.

I actually got this idea from (in)courage, a faith based women’s blog I regularly follow (and love!) It seems there is a book release on the topic of women and fear. What keeps us awake in the ungodly hours of the night.  What consumes our thoughts and energy.  What we are most afraid of when it comes to our cycle on this globe.  The idea, I thought, was tremendous and so very relevant to us as women.  In skimming through the table of contents, there were a few central themes that seem to pervade women’s hearts and minds on the topic of fear. And, I got to thinking about mine and my friend’s lives…what we wrestle with the most when it comes to our own fears in life.

This is where you come in.  I need you to take a minute or so out of your day and email/msg/leave a comment below on the things that you most fear in your life.  If you don’t feel comfortable sharing specifics, generalities will do.  If you don’t feel comfortable disclosing names, feel free to leave an anonymous comment below and it cannot be tracked back to you.

Men (and I know you are out there), if you would like to share your common themes as well that would be helpful and would add a whole new element to my article.  Please just indicate your gender if you are leaving an anonymous comment below.

Then, your homework becomes my homework, and I will share my research with you in blog fashion!

Blessings,

Christy

  1. I am scared of dying and leaving my child to grow up without me. Of missing out on seeing her grow into a strong beautiful woman.

  3. That I'm missing out on life, not doing what I was meant to do, as if my life is on hold for whatever reason. (female)

  4. That I won't make a difference in some one life just being hold back by life's situations
